The Role

Overview

Manage contracts, budgets, variations and site inspections for construction projects

Tasks

-Monitor and provide feedback to the Project Managers so that we achieve agreed program deliveries within agreed timeframes and contract management scope -Review project documentation and identify any potential defects/project delays -Management of payment claims within the terms of contract -Analyse site instructions and sub-contractor variations/ price variations and submit for approval -Prepare, distribute and co-ordinate tender packages -Review, understand and have input to all subcontractor and supplier scope of works -Ensure records and reports are completed and captured in the company's systems (Procore) -Regularly report to your line manager on budgets -Assist the project delivery team in meeting the target financial margin on each project -Participate in project start up meetings for each project -You will be conducting site inspections and managing budgets and programmes -Ensure subcontractors/ suppliers are completing their works in accordance with the project documentation and specifications.

What You Bring

-Experience managing variations, delays and contract claims -Cert IV in Contract Administration (minimum) -A minimum of 5 years practical experience gained from working with a well-regarded Building company -Construction management degree or similar relevant tertiary/trade qualification -Experience in preparing detailed contracts -Jobpac experience (not essential although will be highly regarded) -An accomplished communicator and negotiator able to liaise with a variety of stakeholders -Experience of monitoring project cash flow and reporting
