Lead bridge inspections, manage projects, supervise staff, and prepare reports for MDOT.

Tasks
-Review, analyze, and provide recommendations on field and/or design issues or adaptations. -Use computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents. -Coach field staff on the purpose and processes of inspections and inspection techniques. -Accountable for project schedules and timely completion of projects. -Prepare complete engineering plans or reports meeting MDOT Design guidelines. -Prepare and monitor project budgets and assists in proposal preparation. -Responsible for standard and intermediate challenging engineering projects in field or office in accordance with plans and specifications. -Perform simple and complex engineering computations and estimates related to inspection projects and rehabilitation plans -Direct and supervise the work of entry-level engineers, technicians, drafters, and administrative staff. -Supervise above water and underwater bridge and ancillary structure evaluation and hands on inspection. -Make independent decisions within a general framework.
