The Role
Overview
Manage commercial & financial sides of residential projects, controlling costs, contracts and subcontractors.

Tasks
-Identify and deliver cost savings and value engineering opportunities -Produce monthly cost value reconciliations (CVCs), forecasts and outturn summaries -Uphold H&S compliance and legal standards in all commercial activities -Maintain proactive communication and ensure timely resolution of commercial queries -Mentor Trainees when required and promote a collaborative, solutions-led culture -Procure and administer subcontractor packages, including valuations, payments and final accounts -Attend design and coordination meetings, contributing commercial insight -Prepare and manage accurate cash flows, cost plans and contract sum analyses -Lead commercial discussions with subcontractors and support client final accounts -Ensure subcontractor performance reviews and contract documentation align with ISO9001 standards -Coordinate with Technical and Production teams to resolve risks and achieve programme milestones

What You Bring
-Working towards or holding RICS or CIOB membership -Relevant qualification (e.g. HND/HNC or degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction) -Confident in managing procurement and subcontractor performance -Familiarity with groundworks, piling, RC frame and brickwork is an advantage -Experience as a Quantity or Contract Surveyor in residential development -Proficient communicator with effective stakeholder engagement -Knowledge of UK Building Regulations and health & safety requirements -Strong commercial awareness and excellent numeracy -Skilled in remeasurement, cost reporting and risk analysis
