Tasks

-Collect and document client needs and criteria in programmatic form and develop / formulate solutions based on the data. -Perform work on all phases of design and architecture for projects from initial concept development, master planning, schematic design and design development, production and coordination of construction drawings and specifications. -Lead external project consultants and engineering partners. -Preparing presentation drawings by hand or electronically, research material options and make appropriate selections, plan, coordinate and administer architectural effort in concert with project manager, project executive, and others on the project team. -Analyze client problems and develop architectural solutions to those problems. -Lead and mentor team of junior architects and project coordinators.

What You Bring

-Strong verbal and writing communication skills. -Familiarity with US Department of Education Postsecondary Educations Facilities Inventory and Classification Manual, including space use categories and codes, functional categories, inventory reporting, program area tables and applicable conversion factors. -Demonstrate experience with the renovation and ground-up projects on higher education campuses and research facilities and labs -Ability to build and maintain excellent interpersonal relationships with project stakeholders. -Minimum of 15 years of applicable experience. Education and Research design experience is required. -Competency with Sketchup and PhotoShop a plus. -Familiarity working with various project delivery methods such as design-bid-build, design/build, CM, etc.. -Comfortable with leading the design for exciting and challenging projects. -Ability to interact professionally and comfortably with a variety of project stakeholders such as clients, AHJ’s, contractors, design team, etc. -Bachelor's/Master's degree in Architecture with licensure. -General construction contract administration experience should include responses to clarification requests, progress reviews, pay application processing, submittal processing and close out activities. -Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of programs. -Demonstrated experience using REVIT, proficiency is desired but not required.
