Accounts Payable Specialist

Overview

Processes invoices, checks, vendor accounts, and AP tasks supporting finance.

Tasks

-Monitor contract due dates and pay within terms of contract. -Review and code invoices/expenses reports while adhering to firm policies. -Reconcile vendor monthly statements and resolve any outstanding issues with vendors. -Prepare weekly check runs and process manual checks as required. -Administer credit card transactions on behalf of the Firm along with reconciling the statement with gathering receipts, coding, and data entry. -Set-up and maintain vendor accounts; and prepare 1099 forms at year-end.

-Strong computer skills, including solid skill in the Microsoft Office suite, in particular with Excel, as well as experience using accounting software systems. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -Ability to meet deadlines and effectively prioritize a fast-paced and varied workload, effectively manage a variety of concurrent and shifting priorities. -Superior organizational and follow-through skills, performing work accurately with strong attention to detail. -Sound understanding of financial concepts and ability to calculate figures and amounts for a variety of financial transactions.
