Tasks

-Serve as Project Lead Engineer on mid-size and large projects. -Work with vendors to specify and procure components. -Develop PLC programs and HMI applications. -Design job site power distribution for tunnel boring machines, belt systems, and hoists. -Test and troubleshoot control systems at our on-site UL panel shop. -Review designs for fit, function, and accuracy. -Commission hoists, vertical belts, and skip loading systems on mine and heavy civil construction sites. -Design and implement control systems for electrically powered equipment, including hoists and vertical belts. -Manage multiple projects simultaneously, working with a team of engineers and designers. -Travel intermittently to project and customer sites for system commissioning. -Ensure all designs meet customer requirements and internal standards.

What You Bring

-Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution. -Experience developing hoist control programs highly preferred. -Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills. -Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical engineering. -Familiarity with Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000, PowerFlex drives, ABB ACS880 drives, and EasyPower software a plus (training available for the right candidate). -Proficiency in PLC programming and HMI application development preferred. -Additional beneficial skills include Autodesk Electrical or LT, Revit, Document Control, Hydraulic Systems, and Microsoft Office Suite proficiency. -Willingness to travel as needed.
