Tasks

-Follow detailed work and plans of installation for job -Cuts pipe using saw, pipe cutter, hammer and chisel, cutting torch, and pipe cutting machine -Layout, fit, assemble, and install various pipe systems -Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions such as vertical, horizontal, or overhead -Threads pipe using threading machine -Assembles and installs variety of metal and nonmetal pipes, tubes, and fittings, including steel, copper, HDPE, and PVC -Determine the appropriate welding equipment and methods based on project requirements -Bends pipe using pipe bending tools -Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded -Inspect work for correct installation and best practices for specifications -Secures pipes to structure with brackets, anchors, pipe stands, clamps, and hangers -Connects pipes using threaded, welding, grooved, soldered, brazes, fused, and hand tools
