Tasks

-Facilitates Safety and QC training, depending on level of experience. -As an NDT3 assume responsibility for NDT training and assist in welder qualification program -Keeping managers apprised of progress, issues, and planned efforts of each assigned task using effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams. -Perform NDT inspections (VT primarily) as required. -Perform installation inspections and documents results on required forms. -Analyzes documents, drawing, customer requirements and quality procedures to ensure Chugach installation work meets all applicable standards. -Review, assist in developing, QA workbooks for accuracy and at completion to ensure compliance with applicable standards. -Completing assigned work in a timely and professional manner. -Assist in maintaining Divisions training records.

What You Bring

-Ability to have experience working in or around industrial environments such as shipyards and Naval/Coast Guard bases and piers. -Must be able to access Government facilities and be DBIDS eligible -Must be able to lift 50 lbs. -Must be able to successfully pass a pre-hire background check and drug test. -Must meet and maintain security requirements including clearance eligibility. -Must have a High School diploma and 10 years’ proven experience in quality control/assurance 10 years professional experience solving technical problems. -10 years’ work experience in an industrial setting or shipyard performing inspection activity. -Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record. -NDT3 certified, or very close to qualifying (VT). -Ability to work with NIWC Atlantic and other technical codes, program/project managers, and SMEs.
