Tasks
The Systems Engineer plays a pivotal role by holding primary responsibility for leading complex system builds and ensuring successful technical execution across Evergreen projects. This role bridges engineering design and field execution, providing hands-on support, technical leadership, and documentation that drive efficiency, quality, and project flow. -Supports training for technicians, site leads, and customers, ensuring knowledge transfer and smooth hand off. -Leads commissioning activities to confirm systems are fully operational, documented, and aligned with contract requirements. -Identifies and escalates issues affecting quality, schedule, or cost, providing solutions that improve project outcomes. -Provides technical support and installation guidance to field technicians, ensuring project deliverables meet design intent and operational requirements. -Maintains accurate, install-ready documentation that reflects final system configuration. -Partners with Project Engineers to confirm design inputs are install-ready, accurate, and aligned with site realities. -Supports continuous improvement by contributing lessons learned, mentoring field staff, and driving consistency across Evergreen’s system standards. -Develops and executes testing protocols to validate functionality, interoperability, and compliance. -Owns the system build process, including equipment configuration, programming, testing, and integration.

Unless otherwise stated in the requirements section of an individual job listing, our positions require U.S. citizenship due to the level of access to sensitive information and/or restricted facilities. -Willingness to travel -Prior experience working on military installations -Strong background in low voltage systems (Fire Alarm, Security, CCTV, Access Control, IDS, Networking). -Familiarity with codes, standards, and industry best practices. -Proficiency in system programming, configuration, and troubleshooting. -Strong documentation, communication, and mentorship skills. -Valid enhanced driver’s license -Ability to pass a pre-employment and continuing random background, drug and MVR screenings -BA/BS in Engineering or related
