Overview

Full-time Welder at Wood's Fabrication Facility in Tullos, Aberdeen.

Key Responsibilities

• plate cutting
• hydraulic punching
• plasma cutting
• welding
• plate bending
• template making

Tasks

-Machine cut thick plate bar and structural sections -Produce holes by hydraulic punching machine -Use of power tools (grinders) in the preparation of materials -Burn out fittings using ether burning / plasma cutting techniques -Use of welding tools and equipment for fairing up plate -Use heat for bending, forming and straightening plate and rolled sections -Prepare plate edges -Make templates -Form rolled steel sections -Marking out from approved drawings -Form thick plate
