Overview

Create, manage, and update civil engineering CAD drawings for projects.

Tasks

-Complete drawings and project responsibilities within acceptable timeline -Plot and scan drawings -Create project drawings and exhibit deliverables -Be responsible for presentation and overall drawing appearance and clarity -Research jurisdictional codes and manuals to determine drafting and CAD requirements -Apply established company, jurisdiction, and/or project cad standards -Prepare and edit plans, profiles, sections, and details from rough sketches, redline mark-ups, and verbal instruction from team members -Perform vehicular turning studies using software such as AutoTurn -Traveling to project sites or client meetings, which may involve driving or flying. -Coordinate with engineers and team members -Maintain organization of project files -Occasionally may be required to lift objects weighing up to 15 lbs. -Occasionally visiting project and construction sites may involve walking, standing, kneeling, or navigating uneven terrain.

What You Bring

-For CAD Technicians, understand, model, and use Civil 3D design elements -Clear and collaborative communication skills -Duties are primarily conducted in a standard office setting, requiring prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or computer table. -Ability to develop excellent working relationships with team members -For CAD Technician, applicable and working knowledge of Civil 3D -The ability and desire to work both independently and as part of a team -Minimum 1-4 years’ experience or completion of a CAD Technical education program -Proficiency in AutoCAD -Be detail oriented, organized, and have good follow-through skills
