Forecast demand, manage inventory, and support procurement for manufacturing operations.

Tasks

-Monitor inventory levels daily to maintain continuity of supply for internal operations. -Prioritizes and ensures safety of one self and others. -Support manufacturing operations, including fabrication and machining, by ensuring timely material availability. -Reporting issues with equipment or unsafe conditions. -Communicating with others to exchange information. -Provide prompt and professional support to internal customers throughout the procurement process. -Develop and present regular reports on inventory status, safety stock levels and future demand projections. -Utilize and maintain demand planning tools and ERP systems effectively. -Occasionally requires extended hours to support launch and critical project timelines. -Generate and communicate accurate demand forecasts to the buying team to ensure on-time arrival of materials. -Accessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned. -Reading and interpreting hazardous warning signs. -Take initiative and ownership of work responsibilities, identifying opportunities for process improvements. -Model demand across multiple time horizons and manufacturing strategies (discrete and continuous). -Adjusting, moving, transporting, installing, positioning, or removing objects up to 10 pounds in all directions. -Deliver accurate standard cost information for production materials to the business development team. -Coordinate with project teams and area managers on purchasing needs, resolving issues and evaluating services. -Aggregate and consolidate data from diverse sources to inform strategic procurement decisions.

What You Bring

-Experience with demand planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor, or similar). -Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. -Experience with ERP requisition process and procurement systems. -Knowledge of cost modeling and supply chain optimization techniques. -Ability to independently plan, schedule and carry out work assignments, initiate and participate in the improvement of procurement practices. -Ability to seek different and novel ways to create efficiencies when working on problems, challenges and issues. -Experience in inventory and control in a manufacturing and fast paced environment. -Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field. -Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint. -Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently. -Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a high-volume environment. -Ability to work with highly collaborative team. -Background in advanced manufacturing or energy sectors is highly desirable. -Ability to proactively collect, manage and transfer knowledge. -3+ years of previous demand planning, demand forecasting, supply planning, or supply chain analytics experience. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills. -Strong knowledge of forecasting forecasting principles, supply chain planning and inventory management techniques.
