Tasks

-Stay informed on HR best practices, labor law updates, and emerging HR technologies. -Administer employee programs related to compensation, benefits, leaves, and recognition as directed. -Maintain and update accurate employee records to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. -Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies. -Partner with leadership to facilitate onboarding and orientation, ensuring new employees feel welcomed and have a strong start to their employment at Loenbro. -Conduct background checks and verify employment eligibility (I-9/E-Verify). -Assist with internal investigations, disciplinary actions, and employee separations as directed. -Support performance management processes.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are highly desired. Loenbro, LLC is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to join our growing team in Cedar Rapids, IA. As part of the People Operations team, this role supports a wide range of HR functions, including new hire onboarding, compliance, and benefits administration. -Minimum of 3 years of experience in an HR generalist or similar role. -Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment at all times. -Excellent organizational and time management abilities. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). -Experience with HRIS and applicant tracking systems (ATS), with the ability to quickly learn new systems. -Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills. -SHRM or HRCI certification preferred. -Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. -Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance practices. -Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred. -Strong ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member, including with team members in remote locations. -Willingness to travel occasionally, sometimes on short notice.
