Overview
Manage K-12 school renovation and new construction projects from design to completion.

Tasks
-Provide project administration and contract administration duties, including records management. -Obtain internal approvals from all client stakeholders at major project milestones (award, GMP approval, substantial completion, etc.). -Day-to-day management of the entire project lifecycle for K-12 schools modernizations to include renovations and new construction. -Develop and manage project schedule and budget with support from the client team. -Monitor and oversee the project design or construction effort, to include but not limited to risk management, security and safety compliance, etc. -Conduct comprehensive reviews of construction submittals and construction contract documents. -Lead all project stakeholders to include architects, engineers, contractors, specialty vendors, and internal team members throughout the project lifecycle. -Ensure contractor performance is conducted in compliance with all applicable OSHA standards and quality control guidelines.

What You Bring
-Ability to create and manage project schedules using MS Project or similar software. -7+ years of responsible experience as: an owner’s representative, project facilitator, construction manager or design and construction contracting experience. -Bachelor’s degree in Building Construction, Architecture, Engineering, Planning or a closely related field. -Candidates with occupied renovation experience are preferred. -Ability to work both independently. -Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and has the ability to effectively facilitate meetings. -Experience managing new construction or renovation of commercial buildings. -Knowledge of eBuilder is not required but preferred. -This role requires 7 years of experience in construction management on projects for construction, mechanical systems, interior renovations, upgrades or new fit-outs. -Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, etc.) -Preferred experience around projects over 30M, experience with DC/VA/MD public school systems, projects located in flood plains. -Ability to build and manage reports based on the client’s needs. -Candidates with previous university, K-12 or institution experience is preferred. -Experience managing projects with construction cost over $7.5M. -Strong written and verbal communication skills. -Knowledge of building systems, including MEP, interiors, and furniture, fixtures, and equipment. -Experience working in dynamic environments around guest or facility activity.
