Tasks

This is a pivotal leadership role where you'll shape the quality strategy for transformative transit projects. As Quality Director, you'll champion excellence and continuous improvement, ensuring Aecon’s commitment to safe, efficient, and innovative transportation solutions is upheld at every stage. -Verifying that all Quality Documentation conforms to applicable Project Requirements. -Reports QMS performance to top management and awareness of the QMS throughout their respective SBU/Division/Segment. -Sets QA compliance objectives and ensures that targets are achieved. -Scheduling and coordinating Independent Quality Audits, Internal Quality Audits and External Quality Audits of all key processes and reporting the findings. -Keeps quality regulations, codes and standards, advising management of any business implications of these changes. Lead, manage and ensure proper training is developed and conducted. -Determining and implementing the actions required to ensure the QMS will achieve its intended results. -Acting as the primary representative for projects relating to Quality Management. -Prepares quality reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. -Developing and implementing a program for Opportunities for Improvement in respect of potential Nonconformities or continual improvement initiatives. -Reviews or develops the terms and conditions of the contract between the Owner and Aecon, and for the requirements of Aecon's company policy related to quality control and assurance. -Developing and implementing a program for correction, and where applicable, Corrective Action in respect of Nonconformities. -Ensuring the establishment and maintenance of the QMS into projects and auditing and reporting on the performance of the QMS. -Ensure you and your family receive the services needed to support your mental, emotional, and physical well-being. -Promotes quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.

What You Bring

Please note: the successful candidate for this position must be willing and able to work on-site in Quebec City, Quebec. -Minimum of 5 years of leading and managing teams. -Ability to apply technical knowledge, critical analysis and decision-making skills to identify and resolve issues. -Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder relationship management skills. -Demonstrates commitment to the development, implementation and effectiveness of Quality Management System (QMS) processes that are to comply with applicable standards, codes and regulations. -Experience in planning and managing Quality Assurance and internal processes. -Strong demonstrated written, oral and presentational skills. -Bachelor's degree in engineering/science-related field with a minimum of 15 years of industry experience in quality assurance within the construction industry. -Extensive knowledge of Quality System regulatory requirements. -Proven ability in coordinating efforts to support, mentor and audit Quality Management System requirements.
