The Role

Overview

Maintain and update GIS/CAD data for electric distribution projects, field and office work.

Tasks

-Reference as-builts, work management logs, and other documentation to update GIS data reflecting completed electric distribution construction. -Obtain and manipulate GIS data at state and municipality levels. -Perform storm response work as needed. -Work in an Agile team environment, emphasizing collaboration and feedback to produce high-quality work that meets client standards. -Identify data inconsistencies and communicate with relevant resources to provide accurate data updates to client systems. -Participate in meetings with teammates, clients, and other stakeholders to collaborate and provide input. -Complete engineering design work and deliverables to the client.

What You Bring

-Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, Outlook). -Experience with GIS software such as Small World, Esri Suite (ArcMap, ArcGIS), QGIS. -Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 0-2 years of relevant experience. -Ability to utilize a personal vehicle. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -Willingness to perform both field and office work, with 10-20% overnight travel required. -Ability to work in outdoor environments and perform field data collection. -Knowledge of utility client standards is preferred. -Experience with CAD software such as Bentley Systems (MicroStation), Autodesk (AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
