Tasks
-Evaluate vendor capabilities, specify materials and equipment, and contribute recommendations for system improvements or design modifications. -Participate as a member of client support field teams, providing technical expertise and delivering project documentation and files. -Plan, organize, and develop engineering activities for the specification, construction, and maintenance of public transit rail vehicles, including high-speed, commuter, light-rail, and subway systems. -Prepare and adapt drawings, specifications, calculations, charts, and reports to ensure compliance with industry standards and accepted engineering practices. -Support testing, design, and modification activities for vehicle systems and components, applying mechanical and/or electrical engineering principles.

What You Bring
-Able to work independently and manage tasks and projects to drive desired outcomes. -3–7 years of relevant experience in rail vehicle design, maintenance, or system engineering. -Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline. -Strong knowledge of transit vehicle systems, specifications, and industry standards. -Professional Licensure and Society Memberships -Ability to collaborate across disciplines, apply sound engineering judgment, and develop innovative approaches to technical challenges. -Experience preparing technical specifications, calculations, and engineering reports.
