Overview

Handles accounting and sales admin duties, including AP, reconciliations, deposits, and sales support.

Tasks

-Responsible for reconciling vendor statement monthly. -Prepares bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements. -Research, tracks, and restores accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies. -Reconciles accounts in a timely manner. -Reviews the accounts payable aging. -Runs all month end and accounts payable reports. -Point of contact for all Sales Inquiries. -Handles and routes all incoming Sales Calls to appropriate area. -Maintains and updates Rooming Lists for Sales Department. -Assists guests with any billing related inquiries and documentation. -Daily deposits taken to the bank. -Verifies deposits and charges credit cards for upcoming groups. -Prepares and maintains accounting documents and records.

-Proficient in relevant computer software. -Verifies accuracy of the invoices and taxation. -Knowledgeable of all accounting principles and procedures. -Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding. -Knowledgeable of the property management system. -Problem analysis and problem-solving skills. -Maintains knowledge of and complies with all Shaner and Hilton policies and procedures. -Ability to compute mathematical calculations. -High school graduate, some college, preferably accounting based.
