The Role

Overview

Inspect products using gauges, visual, NDT; write reports; handle materials; operate equipment.

Tasks

-Assist in providing recommendations for corrective actions -Interface with team members including engineering, quality, operators, and customer representatives -Perform material handling duties as required [fork truck operation may be required] -Maintain accurate written and computer records -Use color code system for material identification, as required -Perform calculations as required for the position -Use gauging equipment as required for the position -Use computers as required for the position -Perform product inspection and tests according to established procedures, using gauging, visual and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques, as required -Safely perform required rigging tasks and lifts using cranes and related equipment

What You Bring

-Achieve and maintain NDT level II certification -Read and understand engineering drawings and specifications -Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and wear PPE (safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, etc.) with or without reasonable accommodation. -Communicate effectively (both written and oral) and work well with others -2-year post-secondary degree in Machine Tool Technology or Welding Technology and basic computer knowledge and experience, OR -Flexibility: Willingness to work B shift (3:30 PM - 2:00 AM; Monday - Thursday). -Clearly write non-conformance reports -Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position of inspection and/or NDT requiring the use of prints, gauges, and quality forms and basic computer knowledge and experience
