The Role

Overview

Manage concurrent construction projects ensuring health, safety, quality, cost and schedule compliance for Rolls-Royce sites.

Tasks

-Provide coaching, mentoring and development support to direct reports and trainees -Promote and maintain effective client/stakeholder relationships to protect and enhance the company's reputation at project level. -Play an active lead in the production and risk management of quotations and estimates. -Support the project risk management process and ensure effective controls are established to ensure the safe and timely delivery of the projects. -Manage the projects in accordance with the requirements of the NEC3 Framework Contract -Provide knowledge and support if required to ensure the quality and performance of the works. -Provide Health and safety leadership to your site delivery teams and promote behavioural safety improvements. -Ensure projects are delivered to the agreed contract programme. -Responsible for the execution of projects with potential values between £50k to £15m, across various Rolls Royce sites in Derby and the Midlands. -Work closely with the Senior Design Manager to ensure robust, workable economic and constructable designs are produced. -Ensure that post completion deliverables such as final accounts and Operation & Maintenance information is delivered within the contracted timescales. -To ensure works are carried out to high standard complying with relevant British Standards, codes of practice and Rolls Royce Standards. -Liaise with the Rolls Royce Project Managers and their appointed consultant Project Managers to ensure that the projects are managed in compliance with MS18, CS06 and the current delivery programme and cost plan. -Support project opportunities where identified, to realise, maintain and improve the commercial project performance. -To ensure a high level of service is delivered and develop relationships with key stakeholders. -Ensure projects are completed snag and defect free -To ensure our suppliers, sub-contractors and direct workforce follow company policies and procedures including Health & Safety, Quality Assurance and Engineering standards.

What You Bring

-Experience of the management of Health and Safety across multiple sites -Sound level of administration and organisational skills -Experience in the use of Fieldview or similar tablet-based quality assurance software. -Knowledge and skills to effectively problem solve. -Experience of working in occupied buildings/campuses -High level of self-motivation, organisational ability and drive to meet deadlines. -First Aid -Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills -Ability to develop a good understanding of the customers business requirements. -Practical experience within the building/construction/building services industries -CSCS Card -Experience in the use of the NEC3 Contract -City & Guilds /NVQ construction related qualifications. -High standard of workmanship -Sound knowledge of computer software packages within Microsoft Office -Experience in the preparation of quotations and estimates. -Proactive approach to all tasks undertaken.
