Tasks
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Inspector to join our night shift team within a leading aerospace manufacturing environment. This role is key to maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring components meet exacting specifications throughout the production process. -Assist with root cause analysis, 5Y investigations, and SPC data collection. -Conduct and support internal audits in line with ISO 9001 and ISO 5001 standards. -Work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency. -Complete First Article Inspections (FAI) and produce accurate inspection reports. -Support the Right-First-Time philosophy by identifying, analysing, and resolving quality issues. -Perform quality and inspection checks on components at all manufacturing stages to meet customer and industry standards. -Support continuous improvement projects using lean tools such as 8D and Kaizen. -Manage calibration and maintenance of all inspection tools and measuring instruments.

Apply today to join a team committed to engineering excellence and continuous improvement. -Knowledge of chemical and special processes. -Experience working to ISO 9001 / ISO 5001 standards. -CMM experience (training can be provided). -Previous internal auditing experience. -Background in mechanical or aerospace engineering. -Familiarity with machining, fabrications, and surface treatment processes. -Experience with FMEA, APQP, PPAP, and NADCAP processes. -Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. -Skilled in using precision measuring tools including verniers, micrometers, bore micrometers, height gauges, and DTIs. -Attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. -Proven experience producing First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
