The Role

Overview

Plan and oversee building adaptations for disabled/elderly, ensuring quality & compliance.

Tasks

-Provide effective supervision to ensure consistently high quality standards through robust monitoring and supervision for each project, via site visits, assessing all aspects of quality control. -Ensure compliance with the contract specification preparing defect schedules for rectification and monitoring performance standards, minimising risk, monitoring progress, preparing payment valuations and overseeing financial management of the project, reporting as appropriate. -Ensure health and safety compliance with legislative requirements including CDM and associated legislation. -Support the Capital Investment and Adaptations Team by ensuring that accurate and up to date records in connection with Capital work and in accordance with policies and procedures -Set up effective Stakeholder Communications register -Ensure effective administration of systems for the adaptations works, to ensure creation of work orders, payments etc. in delivering the induvial projects.

What You Bring

-Previous experience of managing similar projects -Knowledge of construction contracts and their effective administration -An HNC or equivalent pass in a building related discipline. -Professional qualification in a property/building related specialism MCIOB, MRICS, MICE etc. -A knowledge and level of competency using CAD -Technically competent and demonstrable knowledge of building construction, building standards, planning regulations, regulatory standards, and leasehold legislation -Experience managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders -Experience of managing onsite health and safety management and compliance to the requirements of CDM -Track record of managing programmes to a high level of quality and performance -Experience of managing contractors to meet defined objectives or targets
