The Role
Overview
Inspect and process blades/vane castings using fluorescent penetrant NDT.

Tasks
-Performing specific calibrations, specific process examinations, and specific process evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and to record results. -Monitoring all trainees’ work on the line to ensure they are not independently conducting, interpreting, evaluating, or reporting the process results of any FPI test without direct supervision from the Level I or Level II inspector. -Achieve and maintain internal certifications per SNT-TC-1A and customer requirements including examination for general method knowledge, specific procedure understanding and practical performance of the method. -Maintaining penetrant lines within proper operating parameters including lighting, penetrant chemical levels, and mixtures. -Processing investment castings to customer specifications covered by the specific work instructions/technique. -Ensuring parts are properly processed to work instructions including external and internal surfaces are dry and excess penetrant has been removed and ready for examination.

What You Bring
-Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. -Investment casting experience and knowledge preferred, general knowledge of other NDT disciplines a plus. -This position will require an export license from the Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security, and/or the Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. Issuance of any required license is a prerequisite for this position. The candidate must be able to work with export-controlled technology in accordance with US export control law. -Must become trained to the PT certification requirements including 4 hours of formal classroom training and 130 hours of OJT under a certified NDT Level I, II or III. -High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
