The Role

Overview

Lead structural design for large building projects, managing teams and client relationships.

Tasks

-Providing direction to the project team and promoting awareness of technical and commercial risk assessments and mitigation and best value design options -Manage packages of work in re-development and upgrade of existing buildings, new builds and complex structures -Delivery of full structural design on significant building projects, proactively managing selected projects, taking responsibility for resource allocation, and ensuring the integrity of the overall design (in collaboration with other design disciplines -Collaborating with other teams in a complex, multi-disciplinary environment.

What You Bring

-Extensive experience within the buildings sector with a particular interest in experience within the Health, Education or Data Centre space. -Substantial experience using ETABs, RAPT and SPACEGASS (or similar) Design Software, additional demonstration of other program knowledge would be useful as would familiarity with Revit and AutoCAD -Ability to lead, with good influencing, motivating and delegation skills -Engineering degree with Chartered status or equivalent professional accreditation; post-graduate qualifications an advantage. -Proven experience in delivery of medium to large scale projects to clients through all project phases -Demonstrated technical, commercial and delivery acumen, managing inter-disciplinary design interfaces and/or projects
