Tasks

-🛠️ Deliver technical excellence in specifying, producing, and assessing design packages for infrastructure. -📋 Assess work control procedures for infrastructure maintenance. -🏗️ Evaluate infrastructure design, material state, and ageing mechanisms to ensure continued safe operation of facilities. -🤝 Act as an intelligent customer, ensuring safety-related contracts meet all requirements. -🔧 Define reliability and operational constraints for infrastructure systems. -🛡️ Promote a robust safety and security culture in all work practices.

What You Bring

We are seeking an Experienced Mechanical Engineer to support the technical capabilities of one of our major client's Design Authority (DA) near Glasgow. This role is perfect for those with a background in Mechanical Design/Mechanical Engineering. Ideally 3 days in the office. If you meet these qualifications and are ready to take on an exciting role in a high-impact environment, we'd love to hear from you! Sole UK national with SC or ability to gain Security Clearance. -🧠 Proven ability to make evidence-based decisions using multiple data sources. -🎓 HNC or equivalent qualifications in a relevant engineering discipline. -⏳ Strong time management skills with the ability to effectively manage and prioritize your workload. -🔧 Minimum 5 years experience in the design assessment of mechanical plant and associated installations -💡 Ability to develop practical, creative, and cost-effective solutions for design changes/modifications to plant infrastructure. -🏅 Incorporated Engineer status or equivalent experience. -⚛️ Experience producing robust technical justifications to all own for relevant mechanical design modifications to be authorised. -🗣️ HAZID/HAZOP studies, -📘 Strong understanding of British and international design standards. -🎓 Degree or equivalent qualifications in a relevant engineering discipline. -💡 Detailed knowledge of the Design Intent for mechanical within the nuclear or a similar high-hazard industry.
