  • Reviews durations based on quantity and production factors and adjusts master schedule accordingly.
  • Provides schedule risk analysis, reports outcomes to senior project management, and manages schedule updates.
  • Monitors project progress against baseline and provides delay and time impact analyses.
  • Develops and maintains detailed resource and cost-loaded construction schedules for projects.
  • Evaluate and define processes and parameters to enhance and improve project planning and scheduling and awareness of district strategic plans.
  • Oversees and reports on schedules for multiple smaller projects or one larger, complex project.
  • Facilitates the planning and scheduling process through various construction phases (preconstruction, construction, system completions, commissioning, etc.).
  • Maintains the P6 scheduling database at a district level, including setting up new projects, maintaining templates and layouts, and setting up user permissions

  • 4 years of experience in a supervisory role is an asset.
  • Active in schedule development, construction planning process and project pursuits in collaboration with the superintendent and project manager.
  • In-depth knowledge of schedule requirements in the contract documents.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate and present ideas and content that influence a favorable outcome.
  • Prior experience with field construction operations and how a project is constructed, including logical sequencing of work through all phases of the project from pursuit to project closeout.
  • Thorough understanding of organizational strategies and practices with the ability to apply planning and scheduling principles to formulate and implement project best practices and techniques.
  • Previous experience with additional scheduling software systems
  • 8-10 years of progressive scheduling experience in construction or related field preferred.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment with multiple stakeholders including estimators, field supervision, subcontractors, project team and clients.
  • Applicable scheduling certification an asset.
  • Postsecondary degree or diploma in construction management, engineering or a related discipline preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing work (for self and others) under strict timelines and being flexible to changing needs.
  • Expert knowledge of construction specifications, building materials, methods and procedures, and the ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, contracts and proposal documents.
  • Ability to create solutions for complex engineering and planning principles to construction challenges.
