Payroll Specialist

Process weekly payroll, manage records, ensure compliance, and support HR/Finance.

Tasks

-Assist in audits and month-end/year-end payroll reporting, including W-2s and other tax forms. -Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices. -Maintain employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, garnishments, benefits, and tax information. -Collect, verify, and input employee timesheets and attendance records. -Prepare and distribute paychecks or initiate direct deposits. -Coordinate with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate benefit deductions and tax withholdings. -Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports. -Stay current with changes in payroll laws and regulations and recommend updates to policies and procedures. -Process payroll for hourly and contract employees on a weekly basis. -Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and management in a timely and professional manner.

What You Bring

-Confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information. -4+ years of payroll processing experience; experience with Foundation Payroll for Construction is a plus. -Experience with multi-state payroll. -Excellent organizational and time management skills. -High level of accuracy and attention to detail. -Certified Payroll Processing. -Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
