The Role
Overview
Install, program, troubleshoot, and service fire alarm and related low‑voltage systems.

Tasks
-Participate in a service on call rotation -Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational/product manuals -Will be required to participate in after hours on call service program -Communicate with central dispatch on current work order status and receive updates on outstanding customer issues -Organize and effectively utilize technical resources, information, material, and support to assure efficient execution of all assigned tasks. -Supervise and inspect the installation of equipment to meet customer and contract specifications -Complete and submit all required task-related, activity, productivity, and other documentation in a timely manner -Respond to customer service calls in a timely and efficient manner, troubleshoot and repair as needed

What You Bring
-If no NICET certification, be able to obtain NICET II in Fire Alarm Systems within the first two years of employment -Able to obtain and retain any licenses that are required by National, State and Local codes -Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs. -Able to work flexible hours including weekends and after hours to meet customer requirements -Demonstrate a high level of customer service -Panel repair/reprogram, device replacement/repair, diagnosing and resolving low voltage circuit troubles and system testing. -Complete necessary certification courses on internal and external products used -Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc. -Basic understanding of Network concepts and architectures. -Proficient with computer and computer programs such as Microsoft TEAMS, Outlook, Excel, Word. -High School Diploma or equivalent required -Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manuals -NICET level II or higher in Fire Alarm Systems -At least 5 years of documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety Systems -Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements -This skilled position involves the installation, programming, troubleshooting, configuring, commissioning, and servicing standalone and networked fire alarm systems and other related building system products at customer sites. -Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly -Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test -Ability to lead & work well with team members -Experience with hand tools test equipment, multi-meter usage, digital analyzer and commissioning devices -Two-year associate's degree in Electronics; Network; Computer Science or related field or ability to obtain in first year -Ability to adhere to, implement, and always follow safety guidelines and procedures
