Design, build, test, and analyze micro‑turbine and turbo‑generator systems.
-Utilize Siemens Teamcenter and NX for modeling and drafting, adhering to the latest dimensional and tolerancing standards (ASME Y14.5). -Support and operate within an AS9100 quality environment following standard protocols. -Conduct test data acquisition and post-processing to validate designs. -Assist management in task prioritization and resource allocation, balancing project obligations, delivery milestones, and budget requirements while adhering to quality and functional specifications. -Engage in customer-funded or internal projects, assisting in drafting proposals for customer projects. -Provide expert advice to management on problem-solving and solution strategies. -Perform mechanical design and analysis of static and rotating hardware using metallic or composite materials in both cold and hot sections of the engine. -Design, build, and test micro-turbine and turbo-generator systems. -Collaborate with other team members and subject matter experts to achieve program milestones. -Iterate design concepts with a focus on driving cost reduction and enhancing design value. -Manage project responsibilities for designing and producing engine systems. -Perform mechanical assembly of hardware. -Set up, execute, and review advanced analyses using tools like ANSYS, focusing on elastic or elastic-plastic behavior, blade and vane dynamics, rotor-dynamics, and thermals. -Holistically manage component level and subsystem level hardware from digital (PLM) to physical (hardware test and verification).
-Experience in design, mechanical engineering, and mechanical design. -Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or equivalent Engineering from an accredited college or university. -Experience in applicable industries such as aerospace, defense, and automotive. -Experience with Siemens NX, although Creo or Catia is also considered. -Proficiency in GD&T-ASME Y14.5. -Assembly analysis experience, including tolerance stack-ups. -Thermal analysis skills. -Master's degree in Engineering is a plus. -Proficiency in ANSYS and FEA. -Experience with PLM systems like Teamcenter. -AS9100 quality management experience. -Experience in static and dynamic structural analysis. -Level 3 requires 7+ years of experience. -Level 2 requires 3+ years of experience. -Dynamic systems experience, preferably with turbomachinery.
