Tasks

-Responsible for supervision and technical direction of GIS analyst employees -Provide oversight on project execution and health, ensuring quality excellence, and setting appropriate GIS goals and objectives -Work with technical staff, Proposal Management, and Business Development staff to support proposal development. -Assist in the development of project plans and staffing strategies, ensuring alignment with approved business plans -Provide technical leadership to a diverse team ranging from junior to senior level staff, including monitoring, mentoring, and leading the growth of team members -Represent Tepa with GIS expertise at technical events such as conferences and technical meetings. -Instrumental in maintaining long-term relationships with key clients by providing technical expertise, attending client meetings, and leading project development pursuits. -Ensure Tepa Core Values are being practiced by all Tepa staff. -Assist project managers with technical issues, scheduling, and cost control measures, -Coordinate and collaborate with subcontractors, teaming partners, and clients. -Write Technical Approaches and other proposal documents as required.

What You Bring

-Bachelor’s degree in physical or natural science, geography, computer science, engineering, or an equivalent field; Master’s degree preferred -Proficient in Microsoft Office products, especially Word and Excel -20+ years of relevant experience -Demonstrated ability to fulfill commitments on schedule and meet clients' service expectations and requirements -Strong attention to detail -Prior federal and DoD experience preferred -Demonstrated effectiveness in building working relationships and interacting with multidisciplinary teams -Specialized computer skills including database applications (MS Access, SQL, or equivalent), AutoCAD and/or GIS, groundwater modeling, and one or more geologic evaluation packages (e.g. gINT, Rockworks, Surfer, Leapfrog, MVS) -Strong interpersonal, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills -Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with project team members and clients -Strong technical and problem-solving skills, including attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness, as well as a commitment to producing high-quality deliverables -Ability to prioritize tasks to meet multiple schedule deadlines
