Tasks

-Can manage the demand of multiple (internal/external) Clients. -Support the organization's drive towards excellence in Health and Safety performance. -Identify opportunities for improvement of Oceaneering’s products and/or processes. -Makes decisions on complex and difficult situations independently. -Ensures that regular consistent communication takes place within his/her area of responsibility. -Use CI techniques to eliminate waste in the overall engineering process. -Promotes a knowledge sharing culture -Ensures that others involved in a project or effort are kept informed about developments and plans. -Gives and receives constructive feedback. -Support the customer satisfaction and loyalty processes. -Manages risk mitigation activities to minimize the probability of occurrence or impact. -Effectively use all systems related platforms to manage the fundamentals of the role. Provide meaningful data to the business leaders to drive improvement and align with the strategic direction. -Support/Mentor/Coach team members as necessary and appropriate. -Support the execution of Product and/or Process Improvement Projects, as necessary. -Review and understand the Client requirements and the Engineering scope in a given project. -Interface and support other functions to enable a successful (safe, on time, with high quality and on budget) completion of their Engineering Project deliverables. -Promotes a safety culture. -Support includes but is not limited to conducting Stop observations and attending HSE related meetings -May instruct or coach others. -Promotes & respects Oceaneering’s Ethical policy and commitment to diversity. -Builds relationships within and across teams and delivers key technical content to influence stakeholders. -Be the technical lead for all projects within the Offshore Technical Solution Team. These projects consist of Type 1 & 2 projects, FEED studies, Life Extensions and Offshore services & support. -Be responsible for producing technically correct documentation for product design, manufacture, analysis and design validation tests, including reports, calculations, drawings procedures etc. in a given project. -Interface with Clients as necessary to resolve interface issues and justify Oceaneering’s technical solutions. -Translate the project requirements into an Engineering execution plan. -Participate in HSE Awareness – Observation Cards, HSE Safety Suggestions. -Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Applies feedback to improve performance; Monitors own work to ensure quality. -Support Offshore Technical Solution Group Manager in winning and executing projects.

What You Bring

-Individual contributor that is fully proficient in applying established standards. -Previous experience in a cables, umbilical’s or flexible risers manufacturing environment. -Experience working in the Oil & Gas or related industry is desirable. Subsea or Offshore Engineering experience is highly desirable. -Interpersonal skills - Focuses on solving conflict, not blaming; Maintains confidentiality; Listens to others without interrupting; Keeps emotions under control; Remains open to others' ideas and tries new things. -Extensive experience as either a Project Engineer or Proposals Engineer in an engineering organization. -Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the work place. -Broad knowledge of own professional discipline, and general knowledge of related disciplines. -An undergraduate college or university degree in an engineering discipline is required -Design - Generates creative solutions; Translates concepts and information into images; Uses feedback to modify designs; Applies design principles; Demonstrates attention to detail. -Work surface is stable (flat). -A strong candidate with a non-degree qualification may be considered for this position providing they can demonstrate relevant experience in a similar role. -Can identify and anticipate risks. -Can identify critical tasks and prioritize. -Willing to travel intermittently, globally, including overnight stays of varying length as required. -Lean / Six-Sigma experience will be a considerable advantage – ability to demonstrate application of improvement techniques and successful results will be required. Design for Six-Sigma (DfSS) will also be considered. -Identified when it is necessary to change/adjust a plan.
