The Role

Overview

Install, maintain, repair, and test electrical systems in commercial facilities.

Tasks

-May be the only maintenance staff member on duty during certain shifts -Track inventory of supplies, equipment, tools, and machinery -Maintain a safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and company guidelines -Plan and layout work projects from diagrams or verbal instructions -Operate vehicles and powered equipment (trucks, ATVs, ladders, scaffolding, platforms, lifts) -Repair electrical issues by replacing or installing components, wiring, or devices -May be required to work extended hours during emergencies or priority situations -Complete assigned work orders -Respond to emergency power failures -Participate in non-electrical work when required -Document actions, testing results, observations, and diagnoses -Coordinate and execute preventive maintenance inspections and repairs -Test and troubleshoot electrical systems using voltmeters, oscilloscopes, ohmmeters, wiring diagrams, schematics, sketches, and blueprints -Work evenings and weekends as needed for shutdowns or maintenance

What You Bring

-Ability to lift over 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in enclosed spaces -Valid Journeyman Electrician License for the State of Texas -Problem-solving skills with various electrical controls and systems -Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word -Communicate effectively with team members -Knowledge of state and local building codes -Be available for overtime and on-call duties -Ability to select correct materials for work assignments -Effective communication of technical information to clients and coworkers -Strong analytical and organizational abilities -Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, and other electrical regulations -Clean and valid state driver’s license
