Tasks

-Splice, join and connect wire to components to form complete control systems -Troubleshooting, analyzing, repairs, reconditioning and re-installing electrical equipment including HVAC, refrigeration systems and various BAS applications. -Developing and managing work orders, logs, and other documentation accurately and on time -Reporting on and recommending improvements to electrical and mechanical equipment -Pull wire through conduits, walls and ceiling spaces. -Perform tasks with minimal supervision and in accordance with Ainsworth Health & Safety policies and procedures -Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new and existing installations -Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by and in accordance with all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental company policies and government legislation/regulations. -Cut, bend, thread and install conduits and other types of electrical conductor enclosures and fittings -Adhere to all company policies and procedures -Performing new installations and repair work on electrical equipment and wiring

What You Bring

-Class 5 driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract -Experience with Fire Alarms is an asset -Strong work ethic and communication skills. -Knowledge of electrical theory and terminology and the Canadian Electrical Code -Strong attention to detail, ability to execute precision work -Ability to read and draw simple electrical sketches and schematics -Experience working with electrical and electronic testing equipment -Must be able to obtain and pass security clearances once hired. -Excellent command of the English Language, both written and oral -Commercial/Construction installations experience -Journeyman Electrician with Commercial experience (5+ years)
