Tasks

As the Transport and Depots manager, you will have responsibility for the management of all the vehicles, maintenance of equipment and the depots throughout the UK & Ireland. You will manage the fitters to ensure they are able to maintain the vehicles and the equipment on the vehicles to the standards as laid out in the Statutory Document for Transport Managers, and ensure all the depots are maintained in accordance with HSE and Statutory guidelines. You will be responsible for ensuring all operators of company vehicles are legally compliant and safe to be driving as per the company driving policy. You will liaise with the contracts managers, supervisory technicians and the operations team to ensure compliance with HSE and DOT standards are upheld. You will be responsible for the production of weekly & monthly management reporting on the status of the depots and the vehicle maintenance. -Transport & Driver management of high volume operation. -The management of UK & Ireland depots -Regularly monitor safety standards at the depot and reports to the SHEQ Director any concerns -Management and compliance of vehicle fleets.. -Attend weekly scheduling meetings to advise on vehicle usage and transportation issues. -Control stock levels for maintenance materials -Responsibility of maintenance of all injection equipment and tools -Manage the fitters to ensure they are in the right place at the right time to be able to support the fleet maintenance requirements and that company procedures are adhered to -Main business contact for all queries relating to vehicles, maintenance, depot management and transport management

We are looking for an experienced Transport Manager to be based in our Hatfield Office. We are looking for a person who operates with high integrity, is resilient and takes ownership of their objectives. This person should be a self-starter, knowledgeable, highly organized, dynamic and flexible in their approach and should be of a strong character and have the ability to challenge performance and be challenged. Ability to manage the fitters where necessary and liaise with senior management as needed. This role will require the candidate to be highly proactive and be able to manage change within the operations team. -Experience of managing transportation budgets -Counterbalance Fork Lift Truck Licence, Reach Fork Lift Truck Licence -Experience of managing drivers to the Working Time Directive, to include scheduling -Experience of managing drivers, and teams of people -Full Car and Motorcycle Licence -HGV Class C Licence -Experience of warehouse/depot management -Experience of using automated Tachometers and vehicle management IT systems.
