Senior Design Engineer

Overview

Design and deliver CCTV & Access Control security systems, supporting sales and projects.

Tasks

-Collaborate with commissioning engineers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless system setup—whether remotely, in-office, or on-site. -Perform technical calculations (e.g., network bandwidth, power, heat dissipation) and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations. -Produce detailed schematics, parts lists, specifications, schedules, and wiring/equipment layouts. -Support sales teams with technical input, conduct site surveys, and participate in system acceptance testing. -Design and deliver advanced CCTV and Access Control systems, including new builds and system upgrades.

What You Bring

-Familiarity with leading VMS and ACS platforms such as C-Cure, Lenel, Genetec, and Synergy. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent communication skills. -Bonus: Experience with Intruder, BMS systems, and legacy protocols (RS232, RS485). -Strong knowledge of: -IP networking, copper, fibre, and wireless communications -IP and analogue CCTV components -A flexible, self-motivated approach with the ability to manage multiple projects. -PC server/client architecture -Proven experience in the Security industry, specifically with CCTV systems and Access Control.
