Overview

Welds, cuts, fabricates metal components per blueprints for machine frames.

Tasks

-Operate plasma cutter and oxy/acetylene torch -Set up and fit up components -Operate machinery including vertical bandsaw, punch press, and Bridgeport -Build fabrications to blueprints holding tolerances -Operate welding machine -Cut, trim, or grind metal objects to dimensions per layout, work order, or blueprints -Operate hand grinder, power tools, saw, and ironworker -Perform finish welding -Join metal components or fabricated assemblies

What You Bring

-Stick, gas, mig, tig welding experience -Welding certificate preferred -Working knowledge of welding techniques -Familiar with respiratory equipment -Work independently and with a team -Parts preparation skills -Compliance with all applicable occupational health and safety required -Usually assigned to one area but must possess the ability to perform in several areas and will be assigned to several if required. -Basic mathematical skills -1-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area -Personal protective equipment is required and supplied by Terex. -Aluminum welding experience preferred -Forklift experience -Knowledge of materials and welding wires
