Tasks

-Perform job site visits as needed to take field measurements, gather project details, and troubleshoot design or material issues. -Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with company expectations. -Attend and participate in company-sponsored training programs. -Conduct sales calls with OSR staff and the Sales Manager when required. -Participate in project meetings to ensure clear communication and smooth project execution. -Assist in preparing comprehensive project estimates and bills of materials. -Meet company standards for work quality, accuracy, and productivity. -Design and develop engineered wood product (EWP) solutions based on customer specifications, architectural plans, and building codes. -Conduct structural calculations and load analyses to verify integrity and performance of EWP designs. -Develop, maintain, and periodically review commercial and trade account bids as directed by the Sales Manager. -Provide technical knowledge and support to sales staff, builders, and contractors regarding EWP products, installation methods, and best practices. -Follow all established safety procedures and comply with company conduct standards. -Source new or special-order products to meet project needs and recommend product solutions to sales teams and builder clients. -Collaborate with architects, engineers, OSR staff, and construction professionals to fully understand project requirements and constraints. -Arrive punctually and maintain consistent attendance. -Utilize specialized software and CAD tools to create detailed drawings, plans, and models for EWP systems. -Create accurate bids, material take-offs, and price lists for Sales Staff in a timely manner. -Perform timely and accurate blueprint take-offs using customer-supplied blueprints through software, hardware, or manual methods. -Maintain up-to-date knowledge of EWP design principles, market trends, pricing, and competitive landscape.

What You Bring

-Education or experience in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related fields is a plus. -Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. -Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external clients. -Ability to interpret building plans, specifications, and applicable building codes. -Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. -Proficiency with CAD software, EWP design programs, and computer-based estimating tools. -Familiarity with industry-standard EWP software and job site or field experience is preferred. -Experience with construction materials, framing layouts, engineered wood products, and blueprint reading.
