The Role

Overview

Assist with structural design, calculations, code review, and coordination in an intern role.

Tasks

-Prepare preliminary designs for clients -Produce construction ready design drawings coordinated with all disciplines to assure complete and accurate agreement -Review building codes to assure correct implementation of preparation and design -Produce structural calculations for implementation with technical drafting staff during preparation of construction documents for permit submittal as well as construction -Attend client meetings, coordinate with construction project managers, architect, civil, and mechanical engineers -Communicate with technical drafting staff, clients, and other outside project team members

What You Bring

-Excellent verbal communication skills and a strong work ethic -Minimum Grade Point Average of 3.0 out of 4.0 -Enrolled in Civil Engineering degree program -Co-op or Intern construction experience preferred
