Tasks
Work is primarily conducted on active job sites. The role requires close coordination with field teams, subcontractors, and project management staff in a fast-paced construction environment. Travel and extended site presence may be required depending on project assignment. The Mechanical Superintendent is responsible for the on-site management, coordination, and supervision of all mechanical construction activities for large-scale Life Science, Mission Critical, and Manufacturing facility projects. This position ensures that all mechanical work is executed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in accordance with design documents, specifications, and quality standards. -Plan, organize, and oversee daily mechanical construction activities including HVAC, plumbing, and process piping installations. -Participate in project planning meetings and provide input on construction methods, sequencing, and resource requirements. -Supervise mechanical subcontractors, foremen, and field personnel to ensure productivity and adherence to project requirements. -Occasional lifting of materials or equipment up to 50 pounds may be required. -Maintain daily reports documenting progress, manpower, equipment usage, and potential delays or issues. -Coordinate mechanical work with other trades to prevent conflicts and maintain efficient workflow. -Conduct daily safety inspections and enforce compliance with all company and regulatory safety policies. -Assist in mechanical system testing, commissioning, and project turnover activities. -Review and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and submittals to verify compliance and identify constructability issues. -Support procurement and logistics by monitoring delivery schedules for mechanical materials and equipment. -Monitor field progress and assist in updating project schedules and manpower forecasts.

What You Bring
-Ability to travel to and work at project sites along the East Coast as required. -Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical construction supervision, with emphasis on HVAC, plumbing, and process piping systems. -Thorough knowledge of mechanical systems, construction practices, and industry standards. -Experience within Life Science, Mission Critical, or advanced Manufacturing environments strongly preferred. -Ability to work on active construction sites, including exposure to varying weather conditions. -Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills. -Proven track record managing ground-up construction projects exceeding $15 million in total value. -Must be able to stand, walk, climb ladders, and perform physical site inspections as needed. -OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training preferred. -Demonstrated ability to read and interpret construction documents, specifications, and schedules.
