Tasks
-Procure materials and oversee the engineering of new product models and prototypes -Support project management as a technical lead—or serve as overall project manager for moderate-scope programs -Evaluate and recommend new product designs and cost improvements to enhance Daikin’s market competitiveness -Lead the design and development of new HVAC products and sub-systems, including vapor compression refrigeration circuits, heat exchangers, fans, and cabinet structures -Evaluate new materials and coordinate with sourcing to support product updates or cost-reduction initiatives -Lead technical efforts in Daikin’s cross-functional New Product Introduction (NPI) process -Perform technical analysis of competitive products to guide design strategy -Provide technical direction to cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle—from concept to launch -Plan and conduct structured test programs using Design of Experiments (DOE) for complex systems with multiple variables -Use computer-assisted engineering and design tools to develop and validate new concepts and features -Provide imaginative and thorough solutions to a wide range of difficult engineering problems -Analyze and recommend design changes to improve cost, performance, or manufacturability -Provide engineering support for Sales and Marketing, including product presentations and customer engagement -Serve as the engineering lead on mid-sized NPI projects, supporting both product strategy and execution milestones -Analyze test data and reports to verify that designs meet functional, performance, and safety specifications

-The ability to make an impact and shape your career with a company that is passionate about growth -5–6 years of experience in HVAC, rotating machinery, turbomachinery, or related product development -Ability to guide product development from initial concept through product launch -Proven experience leading the design and development of HVAC products and subsystems, including vapor compression refrigeration circuits, heat exchangers, fans, and cabinet structures -Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical discipline -Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and projects -Proficiency in CAD and simulation tools for thermal and mechanical system analysis -Experience serving as the engineering lead on mid-sized NPI projects, contributing to both product strategy and execution
