Tasks

-Review client requests for architectural change orders and recommend action to supervisor. Assess vendor submittals and field information requests. -Assist in the preparation of architectural, engineering and construction drawings, specifications, bills of material, building code reviews and cost estimates. -Perform a variety of routine architectural assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria for assigned phases of a project. -Participate in analyses required to formulate and determine design criteria for buildings, structures, systems, materials and components. -Participate in studies of construction techniques and economic feasibility studies, such as the provision of “value engineering”. -Effectively interfacing with individuals or groups representing various backgrounds, disciplines and levels of experience.

What You Bring

-Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, as well as strong interpersonal and relationship building skills. -Minimum of 2 years of Architectural work experience in similar industry. -A working knowledge of architecture and architectural building elements as related to the industrial, chemical, food/beverage, and pharmaceutical fields. -General knowledge of computer and CADD systems, and the ability to successfully interact with those utilizing CADD systems on a daily basis. -Ability to independently organize and prioritize work assignments and coordinate a variety of tasks, with good understanding and attention to detail. -Experience with architectural software such as Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit is preferred. -Reasonable artistic skills with the capability of transferring ideas and impressions to proposals, studies, and ultimately, to working drawings. -Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture or equivalent professional experience and knowledge of Architecture. Master’s degree in architecture is preferred. -Registered as a Licensed Architect or in the process of working toward such through the NCARB intern development and registration by examination programs.
