Tasks

-Conduct outside marketing under the direction of the Assistant Manager and the Community Manager -Provide excellent service to all residents, prospects and visitors to the community -Follow Fair Housing Standards in all dealings with prospects and residents -Complete lease packets and files for each resident to include the lease, all addendums and other proper documentation and signatures -Follow up with residents throughout their lease terms, promote the annual renewal campaign for the community, manage lease renewals and complete lease documents -Coordinate the application review for each lease including credit and income verifications and background checks -Ensure the condition of leased apartments prior to move-in, including a final inspection -Effectively lease apartments in accordance with budget guidelines

What You Bring

-Able to be an effective team player and interact well with others -Three to six months related experience and/or training Equivalent combination of education and experience -Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word and Excel -Able to follow directions from a supervisor -Able to write routine reports and correspondence -Able to understand and follow posted work rules and procedures -High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED); Bachelor’s Degree preferred -Patient, even-tempered and works well under pressure -Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, legal correspondence, and procedure manuals -Professional and enthusiastic demeanor resulting from sales, leasing, marketing or customer service experience -Able to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization -Excellent customer service, sales and negotiation skills -Organized and detail-oriented -Able to accept constructive criticism -Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. -Able to maintain confidentiality -Able to work weekends or overtime as job requires -Able to read and understand lease documents -Knowledge in Entrata preferred -Able to compute rate, ratio, percentage, discounts, and pro-rations -Effective time management skills -Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form -Good communication and listening skills -Able to demonstrate a positive attitude and to enthusiastically and effectively communicate the benefits of the apartment community to prospective students, their parents, and university personnel
