Tasks
-Assist in negotiating high-risk contracts for various projects. -Work to resolve escalated, complex, or disputed contract issues for your project & support procurement staff meetings and provide legal communication to the team as needed. -Ensure material buyers are purchasing the highest quality materials at the lowest possible cost in correct amounts per specifications and drawings. Manage the life cycle of the items you are procuring for your project. -Prepare/issue Request for Proposals (RFP’s) and evaluate vendor/subcontractor proposals to identify vendors/subcontractors who meet project constraints of budget and schedule at the estimating, execution and site purchasing levels. -Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities and the supplier’s reputation and history. -Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Confer with staff, users and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and determine corrective action. -Develop, review and negotiate terms and conditions of supplier contracts. -Manage supplier contracts and supplier relationships, to ensure our suppliers meet our standards, specifications and client requirements. -Assist in the development of company-wide procurement templates. -Utilize logistics team in monitoring shipments to ensure goods come in on time and resolve problems related to undelivered goods.

What You Bring
-Supply chain experience must include working with the RFP process, contract development/negotiation, & procurement execution. -SAP experience a plus. -Experience working with engineers, estimators, buyers, logistics and expediting in the procurement process. -Regular, reliable attendance -Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management or related field with at least 2+ years’ experience in contracts & supply chain functions. We encourage military and veterans to apply. If no degree, a minimum of 4 years in supply chain functions and contracts functions as outlined above are required. -Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment -Minimum of at 2 years of negotiation experience with suppliers with experience reviewing and managing contracts and researching new vendors to utilize on projects. -Prefer candidates that have experience in Construction, preferably within the infrastructure market. -Work productively and meet deadlines timely -Strong work ethic, Strong individual contributor and team player with ability to build relationships. -Highly motivated skilled communicator (both written and verbal), with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative to get the job done right the first time. -Proficient in Microsoft Office (Power Point, Word, Excel) general software knowledge of databases to create contracts.
