Tasks

-Follows processes for systems and communication lines on site and ensure implementation is consistent. -Maintains a complete understanding of all contractual obligations, and ensures executed agreements and contracts are in place. -Supports development and implementation of project execution plan. -Supports Subcontractor Change Management by reviewing subcontractor changes and assessing impact to overall budget and forecast. -Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected. -Develops and manages project cost reports. -Supports Change Management by tracking and analyzing project changes to budget and scope, facilitating the change management process. -Produces change orders and liaises with counterpart in client organization to ensure change orders are processed and approved by the client. -Operates Company aligned vehicle on project sites and business trips. -Reviews subcontractor progress and performance and supports payment applications. -Assesses risks and makes recommendations for risk mitigation and contingency management. -Provides Cost Variance Analyses and variance to budget and the prior forecast. -Utilizes Cash Flow Models with cash flow analysis and preparation. -Resolves issues with contracts and subcontracts. -Creates the weekly and monthly Project Cost reports and presents alongside the Project Manager. -Directs, guides, and coaches Project and Field Engineers to ensure activities on site are understood and following established processes through quality checks. -Collects data necessary for daily/weekly/monthly of work completed. -Reviews and understands schedule as it ties to contractual milestone dates. -Supports Estimating during budget setup, following standard WBS and cost code structure. -Presents, supports, and leads-by-example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude. -Provides Earned Value Analysis by tracking progress and measuring performance. -Forecasts and analyzes trends, develops estimate to complete costs, analyzes commitments. -Coaches other project controls staff, Project Controls Manager I, Project Accountant, Cost Administrators, including best practices for managing contract issues and handling daily issues and tasks. -Participates in daily and weekly status and progress reports of construction on site. -Assists Construction Director and Project Manager in client negotiations as they relate to executing contracts and change orders. -Provides Risk Analysis by assessing and evaluating project risk at the funding stage and throughout project execution, compiling data and risk analyses. -Complies with the Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, and Company Policies & Procedures. -Ensures QA/QC and Environmental processes are implemented according to the plan and are consistently adhered to.

What You Bring

-Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships. -Ability to work independently and be proactive. -Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of people and approaches. -Advanced Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PPT, Outlook, Visio, cost databases). -Intermediate experience with job costing or accounting software – knowledge of IFS, Procore, HeavyJob and HeavyBid an advantage. -Intermediate experience with Primavera P6. -Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. -Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, construction management, accounting, or 8 years’ related experience required. -Strong or proficient understanding of cost and change management -Must possess a valid Driver’s license. -Strong decision-making skills. -Strong negotiation skills. -Functional competencies in accountability, attention to detail, prioritization, business acumen, and collaboration. -Demonstrates extensive knowledge of prime contract and subcontracts and identifies all gaps, risks, opportunities and deliverables. -Strong leadership, mentoring and facilitation skills. -Ability to travel domestically up to 50% required. -7 or more years’ relevant experience in project controls/commercial management/project management (construction environment a plus) required. -Understanding of safety and OSHA requirements. -Strong writing and reporting skills.
