Staff Geotechnical Engineer managing investigations, analyses, and project delivery.

Tasks

-Managing and conducting field investigations; reviewing samples/core; ordering laboratory tests and preparing/reviewing/editing boring logs for investigations of any scale; -Scoping geotechnical investigations and preparing draft proposals and cost estimates; -Reviewing plans and specifications for conformance with the intent of A3GEO’s geotechnical recommendations; -Preparing geotechnical investigation and geologic hazard reports; -Conducting onsite construction observation for engineering-related activities, if needed. -Assisting in the managing, training, mentoring and supervision of staff-level engineers; -Managing construction-phase services for projects; and -Working directly with and managing sub-consultants; -Performing and/or supervising engineering analyses;

What You Bring

This position will be working out of A3Geo. Certerra is seeking a well-rounded Professional Engineer, with experience on a variety of project types. The following minimum requirements apply to this position. -California Engineer in Training (EIT) -U.S. Citizenship or legal authorization to work in the U.S. -Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills. -Excellent writing and communication skills. -Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or related discipline
