Tasks

-Communicate the company’s vision, values, and key results areas -Develop and administer budget while improving conversion cost and reducing variances -Management of inventories -Manage plant equipment layouts and new equipment startups -Lead and support programs that create a culture of respect, inclusion, and recognition -Ensure robust HSE and security procedures and training are in place, and the site is following compliance as required by legislation and corporate policy -Facilitate quality and service improvements, as well as cost reduction, by developing and implementing robust manufacturing processes and best practices -Mentor staff to optimize performance, drive results, and prepare for career development

What You Bring

-High school diploma or equivalent -Knowledge of steel industry -5 years of experience in a supervisory or people management role -Excellent verbal, problem-solving, presentation and facilitation skills -Experience with plant start-ups and equipment layout -Evidence of successfully leading large scale projects -10 years of experience in a manufacturing ERP system driven environment -Understanding of Oracle ERP systems -Continuous improvement techniques with manufacturing processes and capabilities -Proficient in Microsoft Office products -Bachelor’s degree in Business or Manufacturing Engineering -Strong leadership, analytical and diplomacy skills -5 years of experience in a manufacturing ERP system driven environment
