Production Supervisor

Overview

Supervises shipping/receiving, manages inventory and logistics in a unionized warehouse.

Tasks

-Lead a team of unionized warehouse personnel, in a respectful and productive work environment -Coordinate with carriers, vendors and internal departments to optimize logistics performance -Monitor inventory levels and reconcile discrepancies through audits and cycle counts -Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs -Maintain accurate documentation for shipments, receipts and inventory transactions -Train and mentor team members on SOP's, SWP's and safe work practices. -Supervise shipping and receiving operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of goods -Support compliance with safety standards company policies and the Collective Agreement

What You Bring

-Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills -3-5 years of supervisory experience in shipping/receiving, preferably in a unionized environment -Familiarity with freight coordination, customs documentation, and inventory control -Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems, ERP platforms and shipping software. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite(Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
