Tasks
As a Senior Marine Engineer every day at Expleo will be out of the ordinary and will require you to be dynamic and responsive to changes in technology, innovation, and client requirements. You will have the opportunity to lead pre-concept/concept surface & sub-surface vessel design, complex engineering design & analysis tasks, the creation of new & innovative tools & processes, the delivery of engineering consultancy services, and the development of new business opportunities, such as decarbonisation solutions & other emerging technologies across a wide range of global maritime programmes. -Ensure our recruitment process is inclusive and accessible -Offering an interview to disabled people who meet the minimum criteria for the job -Develop and maintain technical procedures, standards, processes, practices, guidelines, and standards. -Anticipating and providing reasonable adjustments as required -Apply & continue to develop a breadth of engineering skills, in the discipline of Marine Engineering. -Supporting any existing employee who acquires a disability or long term health condition, enabling them to stay in work at least one activity that will make a difference for disabled people -Communicating and promoting vacancies -Interface directly with our customers and clients, representing our teams to discuss and deliver engineering solutions to complex problems. -Investigating and solve complex technical problems in concept, basic and detailed designs.

What You Bring
-Ability to produce engineering requirements including; design changes, modifications, defect investigations, obsolescence and alterations/additions. -Degree qualified in a relevant STEM discipline (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Marine Technology, Naval Engineering), or equivalent experience in the naval and commercial ship design, construction, or maintenance domain. -An understanding of classification society rules, regulations and standards in the design, construction and in-service lifecycle phases. -The successful candidate will ideally have a post-graduate experience (extensive experience for non-degree qualified) working in the naval maritime domain, ideally surface or sub-surface defence. -Apply deep technical understanding of Power & Propulsion and Auxiliary Systems within a Marine Environment. -Strong understanding Technical Documentation and Standards including; DEFSTANS, STANAGS, BRs etc -Experience in a technical consulting environment, leading and/or supporting multiple engineering projects & customers. -Professional member of a relevant engineering institution (e.g., RINA, IMarEST, IMechE, IET). -A clear understanding of the role of a Marine Engineer throughout all stages of the design lifecycle (CADMID). -Strong understanding of Requirements capture and management. -Experience of working in multi-company and engineering discipline teams with an ability to communicate effectively. -Recognised as an Incorporated or Chartered Engineer by the UK Engineering Council (or actively working towards achieving accredited status) -Experience of whole ship design including assessment of performance, design integration, construction, and through-life maintenance. -Strong understanding of scope of work development. -Strong understanding of obsolescence management. -Experience in Stakeholder Engagement and Management. -SC Clearance -Strong understanding of the MOD procurement process and common support model.
