The Role

Overview

Install, test, and maintain low‑voltage cabling, fiber, and AV/security systems.

Tasks

-Updates as-built drawings as necessary, according to department policies. -Attend Toolbox safety meetings and demonstrate safety competency in addition to any other recommended topics such as harassment prevention, ethics, etc. -Repair and install network enabled systems such as CCTV, Access Control, AV Control Systems, Central Sound, Video Management Servers, Projectors, Screens, Interactive Displays, etc. -Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment. -Assists in keeping building common and technology spaces in a neat, orderly and safe condition. -Accomplishes work in accordance with blueprints and specifications, national and local codes and industry standards such as TIA and BICSI. -Terminate, test copper and fiber cabling systems using certified test equipment. -Install low voltage copper and fiber optic cabling.

What You Bring

-High School diploma or GED required. -Valid Driver’s License. -Obtain an OSHA 10 General Industry Safety and Health standards certification. -BICSI and/or AVIXA certification desirable but not required. -Knowledge of the Low Voltage Integration or ICT industry.
