Tasks

-Prepare and optimize PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE models -Draft and manage engineering documents for transmission and distribution line projects (from 5 kV to 765 kV) -Develop line layouts -Supervise the work of engineers, technicians and drafters and provide technical support -Help inspect existing lines and prepare inspection reports -Take the lead in preparing proposals, studies, cost estimates, reports, and plans and specifications -Design support structures and foundations for transmission and distribution lines -Select the required components: insulators, hardware, conductors and structures -Act as technical project manager to deliver projects on time, on budget and up to quality standards -Design transmission and distribution lines

What You Bring

-Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec -At least 10 years of experience with transmission and distribution lines -Technical writing skills -Advanced level of English to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients outside Québec. The frequency of English use may range from occasional to daily, depending on ongoing projects -Bachelor’s degree in civil or electrical engineering -Knowledge of the PLS-CADD suite -Relevant structural experience -Ability to share and pass on knowledge
